The early meetings were held once a month and conducted in the homes of volunteers, in various locations throughout Jacksonville, Florida. These meetings were planned, operated and facilitated by the current directors and funded in part by the group attendees. 

In addition to the meetings, a monthly newsletter (The Edifier) is published. The Edifier provides a platform for women to display their talents through inspirational poetry, stories and art. The recipients are found in parts of Florida, Illinois and Alabama; also via email to international subscribers, located in Jamaica and the Bahamas. The Edifier is mailed free of charge.  However,  donation are asked of the recipients to cover the cost of stamps  and printing.
