Women of Mercy Bible Study Ministry formed to provide a spirit nurturing safe haven for women. The ministry started in January 2001 at The House of Mercy UMC. Although the church is no longer operational, WOMBS continues it's mission - to provide a place for women to grow spiritually and study God’s words. Women of Mercy Bible Study Ministry was incorporated in June 2004 and the name was changed to WOMBS Ministries, Inc. The ministry’s purpose continues to be to encourage women through the use of bible studies and fellowships. However, it has expanded to include spiritual retreats, empowerment conferences and Christian Counseling.
